About Me

Hi, I’m Mark. I’m a licensed professional counselor and self-talk specialist with more than 20 years of experience helping people work through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and the damaging impact of negative self-talk.

I believe the most important relationship we’ll ever have is the one we have with ourselves. That inner voice, how we speak to ourselves in the quiet moments, shapes how we see the world, how we relate to others, and how we feel about who we are. My work focuses on helping people transform that inner dialogue from harsh and critical to kind, truthful, and encouraging.

My approach is relational, compassionate, and grounded in real life. I’m not here to offer quick fixes or jargon, I’m here to help you uncover what’s been holding you back and walk with you toward real and lasting change. Sessions with me are practical and personal, and I want you to leave each one knowing we did meaningful work.

Why self-talk? Because I’ve lived it.
My passion for self-talk started early. Growing up, I struggled with self-doubt and a loud inner critic that made me question my worth. Like a lot of people, I learned to appear confident on the outside while quietly tearing myself down on the inside. It wasn’t until I began doing my own inner work that I realized just how powerful our internal dialogue really is. Learning to change the way I spoke to myself changed everything, and I knew I wanted to help others do the same.

Today, I get to help people rewrite the messages they’ve been carrying for years. It’s some of the most meaningful work I’ve ever done.

Why Work With Me?

Choosing a therapist is personal. You want someone who gets you, someone you feel comfortable with and who can actually help you create change. Here’s what you can expect when we work together:

  • I’m real, not robotic. I show up as a genuine, grounded human being. I listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and bring humor and warmth into the room. Clients often tell me they feel safe, seen, and understood, which is exactly what I hope for.
  • We won’t waste time. I value your time and energy. I don’t just sit back and nod-I’m engaged, intentional, and focused on helping you get somewhere. You’ll walk away from sessions with clarity, direction, and tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life.
  • This is customized to you. There’s no one-size-fits-all therapy here. I tailor my approach to your needs, your story, and your goals. Together, we’ll figure out what works best for you, not what works in a textbook.
  • I bring 20+ years of experience. I’ve been doing this a long time, and I’ve walked with people through just about every kind of challenge. That experience allows me to hold space for both your pain and your potential.
  • Self-talk is my specialty. Most people don’t realize how much their inner dialogue affects their emotions, choices, and relationships. Helping you shift your self-talk is at the heart of what I do, helping people transform their lives by the words they speak.

If you’re looking for a counselor who’s compassionate, honest, experienced, and deeply invested in your growth, I’d love to connect.
